Recipe: Homemade Red Bean Paste



Red Bean Paste:
  1. Into a pot, soak 300g red beans with 750g water *preferably overnight.
  2. High heat, bring water to boil. Low heat, simmer for 1 hour (longer if beans are not soaked). 
  3. Add 250g sugar (nicer with some brown sugar), 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and 1/8 tsp salt
  4. Medium heat, stir till desired consistency and firmness.
